Happy Holidays :D

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year :D

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and remembered the true reason why we celebrate it. This Christmas was once again amazing! Although I didn't receive that many gifts, the spirit, love, and family made it all worth while. My brother did decide to buy a dog!!! He is the cutest little pup I've ever laid eyes on. Usually I hate animals and don't like to be around them, but this pup is sooo cute and little I just had to make an exception for him. His name is Louie and he is an all white labroder retriever. In other news, New Years is around the corner and I am really excited because 2011 will be the year of change for me! I will officially be done with high school and will be entering college! I am so excited and I can not wait to see which college I end up at. I really hope that I get accepted to Seattle Pacific University! It is the best college in the world and it's my first choice. They are killing me however by making me wait this long just to find out if I got accepted or not. I am literally dying, and to top it all off, I applied for early admissions!!!!!!!!! Well, I guess thats enough for today. Have a wonderful night guys xoxoxoxo

My personal review of The Scarlet Letter #1

Initially as I picked up the thick black book with no cover that I borrowed from my local library, I insisted that this book would be entirely too boring and meaningless for me to read. That was of course until I actually begin reading the book. The idea of never judging a book by its cover-even in this case when the book I borrowed came without one-stands to be true. Although the book is written in richly elevated language that causes even the most renowned literature lover to slow down while reading in order to fully grasp each concept hidden in each word, it seemed to catch my attention. I instantly noticed that the author, Nathaniel Hawthorne, uses imagery all throughout the opening of the first few chapters to foreshadow a deeper meaning. I anticipate to find out the significance of the rugged prison he described, the bright rose bush, and the scarlet red letter that seemed to haunt me throughout the beginning chapters of the novel. I, once again, have fallen in love with a book that I initially had no desire to read.

L O V E

My definition of love has changed dramatically overtime. I remember, not to long ago, my idea of love was merely a feeling you get when you think someone is cute, or when someone looks you deep into your eyes. I was wrong. I learned that love is far more complex than a feeling or a stare. Love is bliss, love is logical, love is long suffering, love is pain, love is a choice. It amazes me to know that I found my true love in Christ. I trust him to guide me to someone to share the same love I have for him. My eyes will continue looking at Christ, my true love...

The rain is my own version of sunshine.

It is 2:31pm in the heart of Los Angeles CA, and it is raining non-stop. The streets are empty and the heaters are on full blast, a tourist from Seattle would probably think the world came to a sudden end due to the quietness found in this booming town. California, the state that seems to never rain has been raining for the past week straight, many people despise this weather and act as if the world is going to end. Me on the other hand, I embrace the rain, and to be quite frank (poor frank he's always so blunt) if my immune system was used to the cold weather, I would run outside like a little kid at Disneyland for the first time. Ahhh, the fresh air that the rain creates greets my nostrils with love and gentleness. The thunder swiftly runs in my ear drums creating a song that i will one day pass on to the generations that come. Oh how I love the rain...

A blog about nothing.

I believe that the capability to write something off the top of ones head while still making complete since is more than a skill, rather, it is a talent, and frankly, it is a lost art. I decided to create a blog that has absolutely no purpose to see where my creativity would lead me. Yes, I love writing and i believe that slowly but surely each generation is forgetting the power that lies beneath writing. Many people have used writing as a vehicle to drive out clarity, love, and even the most secret thoughts we as humans hold unto with all of our might and strength. I hope that one day my ability to write without thought, will, or purpose will one day shape its self into a book, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves...
